Pipeline resumes operations as Naira for crude stops

March 20 (Lagos) - In a good news, the gas pipeline that got blown up earlier this week has resumed its operations.

However there was bad news as Dangote refinery announced they will halt selling their crude in Naira temporarily since NNPC stopped supplying them crude in Naira. Recently Dangote Refinery was able to cut petrol prices but now doubts have come up over more price cuts or will there be increases or worse will there be fuel shortage and line-ups at the petrol pumps.

Nigerian treasury bills primary market auction from yesterday closed close to 20% while yields reached almost 25% on the one year bill. It signals that the optimism from Naira gains last month may have been short lived.
